Ag + Art Tour - Newberry

The annual South Carolina Ag + Art Tour is the largest in the US! This is a free self-guided farm and art tour that educates people about where their food and fiber comes from and introduces them to local artisans.

June 24th through 25th is the official Ag+Art event in Newberry County. Visitors will have the opportunity to travel from farm to farm in rural Newberry County to learn more about where our local food comes from. Additionally, at each stop, an artist local to the area will be displaying and demonstrating their work. Stops include the Grow Newberry Farmers Market, Carolina Pride Pastures (Alpaca Farm), Bowers Farm, Hendrix Farm/Do-Si-Jo's, Rodger's Heirlooms, and Westridge Farms.

Additional sites to visit will include Carter and Holmes Orchids, Enoree River Winery, Lever Farms, Mayer Farms, and Po Dunk Hollar.

I and my fiber friend Rosemary are participating as artisans and will be set up at the Enoree River Winery & Vineyard.  We will be demonstrating spinning and weaving and will have natural dyed silk scarves, handdyed yarns, coordinating yarns and project kits, project bags, and handwoven items for sale.  Look for Flora & Fiber!

The tour will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday (23) and 1-5 p.m. Sunday (24).  However, we will be at Enoree Winery 12-6 p.m .Saturday (23) and 2-6 p.m. Sunday (24) during their regular business hours.  There is no fee to attend and visitors can start and stop their tour at any location they choose.
