I had an awesome response to the invitation for test weavers for my upcoming book ‘Krokbragd Patterns’. I am thrilled to announce:

  • Anette Matthews - Pretoria, South Africa

  • Janet Bruns - Bainbridge Island, Washington

  • Christine Perkins - Westerville, Ohio

  • Linda J. Arndt - Maple Park, Illinois

  • Kelly Casanova - Melbourne, Australia

  • Susan Verellen - Lafayette, Indiana

  • Carol Williams - Weston, West Virginia

  • Stevie Van Housen - Coralville, Iowa

  • Mary Ann Cheng Pittman - St. Louis, Missouri

As you can see this marvelous group of weavers hails from all over the globe. They are diverse in their experience form relatively novel to skilled weavers which is exactly what I was searching for when assembling our team of testers. I’m writing the book with the hope that it will appeal to both those wanting to get started weaving krokbragd as well as those who are looking for fresh ideas.

Just as there is a variety in skill level amongst the group, they are weavers on table and floor looms, jack and countermarche looms, and rigid heddle looms using pick-up, heddle rods, and double heddles.

I am busily (and happily) designing motifs, patterns, and projects. As I told the test weavers, I keep thinking of new ideas so the design process is ever expanding. Once I have the designs completed, I will select the ones that the testers will weave for display in the book and I will get busy with my own weaving and writing of the text.

I”m still planning for a Spring 2021 release. Stay tuned!
